  Background
  
  Errors and adverse events are frequent in the health care system. The Danish Patient Safety Society has safety in drug use as a major strategy and, in 2004, launched a strategy for primary care. The Danish Pharmaceutical Association has named 2004 Patient Safety Year, aiming to affirm the pharmacy as a key partner in avoiding errors..
